What are your responsibilities as a Buyer Indirect at DESOTEC?
As our Indirect Buyer & Fleet Specialist, you are a crucial link within our procurement team. You combine indirect procurement (IT, facility, PPE, chemicals, services) with fleet management (passenger cars, trucks, mobility solutions). You ensure optimal contracts, cost control, and compliance, and you work closely with internal stakeholders.
You analyse market dynamics, select suitable suppliers, and negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, delivery conditions, service contracts, and framework agreements.
You manage the entire fleet process, including vehicle purchasing, maintenance, contract management, and fleet optimisation.
You build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations) and external partners to ensure that purchasing decisions are well aligned.
You optimise and digitalise P2P processes, monitor relevant KPIs, and report insights to management.
You safeguard sustainability and compliance, ensuring that all indirect purchases and fleet decisions support the company’s sustainability objectives.
What will your team look like as a Buyer Indirect?
You will be part of a strong European purchasing team consisting of two complementary teams. You will join the commercial team, which focuses on supplier management, negotiations, contracts, and improvement projects, while the operational team is responsible for the daily Purchase-2-Pay flow and monitoring internal procedures. Together, you will ensure an efficient purchasing organization that supports DESOTEC in its international growth.
You will report to the Procurement Manager.
Who are you as a Buyer Indirect at DESOTEC?
Commercially skilled: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain, or equivalent through experience.
Experienced professional: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in indirect spend. Knowledge of fleet management is a strong asset.
Analytical and precise: You work in a structured manner and have strong numerical and planning skills.
Strong negotiation skills
Travel: Occasional visits to suppliers domestically and internationally.
Languages: Excellent command of Dutch and English.
IT skills: Proficient in MS Office and experienced with our ERP system Dynamics F&O or another ERP package.
