What do you do as a Process Operator at DESOTEC?
As an operator, you are responsible for the production of high-quality, reactivated carbon. You work with advanced reactivation furnaces and contribute directly to a sustainable world by recycling materials.
Your responsibilities:
Process Control: You start, operate, and monitor 4 to 5 reactivation furnaces via computer screens from the control room.
Technical Optimization: You adjust parameters for optimal output, respond to alarms, and anticipate malfunctions.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: You analyze process-related malfunctions and perform minor maintenance work yourself. You secure installations for major interventions by correctly locking them (LOTO).
Logistics & Administration: You fill and move big bags using a forklift and take daily samples. You accurately register production data in ERP and Excel.
Safety & Environment: You monitor environmental permit conditions, wear the correct PPE, and ensure a clean working environment (housekeeping).

What does your team look like?
You will join a close-knit team of 8 colleagues in Rumbeke, consisting of technical operators, a process expert, and forklift drivers. You report directly to the team leader.
Who are you as an operator?
Diploma: You hold at least a TSO diploma (Technical Secondary Education) or have equivalent experience in process techniques, electromechanica, electronics, or chemistry.
Technical Knowledge: You are able to read technical and electrical diagrams (P&ID).
Experience: Preference is given to candidates with experience as a process operator in an industrial environment.
Languages: You speak Dutch and English well.
Attitude: You are analytical, eager to learn, and can stay calm under pressure. Safety is always your top priority.
Hours: You work a 39h week from 21.48 - 6h
