Desotec is taking on an exciting journey with Polestar, our new ERP implementation project. Are you ready to help shape this transformation? We’re looking for a dynamic Data Migration and Reporting Specialist to join our Business Transformation team.

What do you do as Data Migration and Reporting Specialist  at DESOTEC? 

1. Data Migration

Do you love working with data and enjoy bringing structure to large datasets? As our Data Migration Specialist, you’ll be at the core of a seamless transition, transferring our existing data from Navision to Dynamics365 Finance & Operations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Analysing our current data structure to identify challenges and opportunities.

• Developing robust migration plans and scripts to ensure smooth transitions.

• Leading data cleansing and transformation processes for compatibility with the new system.

• Rigorously validating and testing migrated datasets to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborating closely with project team members for seamless execution.

• Managing deliverables, timelines, and a dedicated team within the data migration stream.

• Reporting directly to the ERP project manager and Business Transformation Team manager.

2. Reporting

Are you a data enthusiast with a business-oriented mindset? As our Reporting Specialist, you’ll design and build insightful reports and dashboards that empower our teams with meaningful data.

Your responsibilities include:

• Gathering and translating business requirements into impactful reporting solutions.

• Supporting the design and creation of new reports and dashboards.

• Developing reports in the selected reporting tool to meet organizational needs.

• Helping colleagues interpret and utilize data effectively.

• Designing and implementing self-service reporting tools.

• Thoroughly testing all reports for accuracy and usability.

• Collaborating with colleagues across departments for cross-functional success.

• Training key users to make the most of new reporting capabilities.

• Managing project deliverables and timelines.

• Reporting directly to the Business Transformation Team manager, who is also the ERP project manager.

What does your team look like as Data Migration and Reporting Specialist ? 

 As Data Migration and Reporting Specialist, you will join the Polestar Project Team, which includes an extensive Business Transformation Team, Key Users, and an external implementation team. You will report to the Business Transformation Team manager, who is also the ERP project manager.

• Possesses strong analytical skills and thrives on solving complex problems.

• Has an eagerness to learn and grow within the role.

• Understands databases and data warehousing—or is excited to learn.

• Takes initiative and is results-oriented.

• You enjoy working at the office (Roeselare). You get the freedom to spend 2 days a week in your home office after a training period.
